CLINICAL TRIALS
Galiz Research has the capability to conduct Phase I - IV clinical trials for the Pharmaceutical industry. Here is some information on what different clinical trial phases are about.
Studies that are conducted with healthy volunteers and that will prioritize safety. The goal is to find out what the drug’s most frequent and serious adverse events are. The drug is metabolized and excreted.
PHASE 1
These studies are done for collecting preliminary data . For example some patients will be receiving the actual drug; meantime others will be receiving a replacement or a different drug (Place-bo). Safety continues to be evaluated, and short-term adverse events are studied and collected.
PHASE 2
These studies gather more information regarding safery and effectiveness of the drug. They do this by studying the response on different populations and different dosages for the drug. This could also be in combin-ation with other drugs as well.
PHASE 3
These studies happen after the FDA has approved a drug for the public or marketing. This includes post market require-ment and commitment studies that are required and agreed by the sponsor. These continue to collect more information about the drug's usage, efficacy, and safety.
